Punjab Ehsaas Program is being led by Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) and comprises a number of initiatives to be launched in 2020. One of these initiatives is the flagship program for the elderly persons named Ba-Himmat Buzurg Program, will be launching in March 2020. Ba-Himmat Buzurg Program aims to provide dignified social pension to elderly persons above the age of 65. Rs. 3 billion has been allocated for this program in the provincial budget for the year 2019 - 20 which will benefit about 150,000 people. Elderly persons in Punjab below poverty score of 20 will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs. 2,000 through a customized ATM card.
Training of focal persons of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, and other departments on Ba-Himmat Buzurg Programme Registration was conducted by PSPA in Lahore.
